Director Jeff Nichols leisurely turns the pages of his slow-water tale, keeping readers/viewers immersed in this musty-aired boat-in-a-tree world and always holding the promise of a point just a few pages away. 7/10 Good movie. MUD was an entertaining movie that both myself and wife enjoyed. Prior to watching MUD, we had no idea what it was about but knew it had Matthew McConaughey & Reese Witherspoon in it. Witherspoon didn’t have a very large part. But it was the 2 boys that made the film.
